Ignite Colleges has injected a boost into tertiary training in South Auckland, with a full revamp of its Manukau Campus and further expansion in the pipeline for 2017.
The provider, which has been under new ownership since July 2016, now features a purpose built, state of the art barista training area and bar for its hospitality students, plus a working café. Refurbished modern classrooms and breakout spaces for students have been built into the new campus design, along with innovative practical training spaces for healthcare students.
Managing Director, Rosanne Graham, said the fully renovated campus now provides a top notch learning environment.
“We wanted to provide the best facilities on offer in South Auckland for our students. The environment we now have on campus is well cared for and welcoming – it provides a real feeling of home,” said Rosanne
At the heart of the new campus is the café, where students enjoy great subsidised food, made fresh daily. Free Wi-Fi is another bonus, while lovely garden areas provide the ideal spot for a study break over the summer months.
“Thanks to our new facilities and training spaces, our students can now complete their qualifications in a modern learning environment, and gain the necessary practical skills for the workplace.”
Further expansion is now underway, with the second building onsite currently under development. Work will be completed in March, giving the provider an additional seven classrooms.
“At Ignite Colleges we are serious about education and what is needed for our students to gain great jobs. This expansion will enable us to offer several exciting new programmes in 2017, giving many more South Aucklanders the opportunity to launch careers in some of New Zealand’s fastest growing industries.”
